Modern Collaborations

My recent collaborative work is anchored by two primary creative partnerships that allowed me to explore a much heavier, sophisticated performance framework. The first is a two-album project with the RevRon P. aka the group Sometimes Inspired. The second is a standalone album collaboration with Mark West Art.

From the Historical Archives

Long before my recent remote online projects, my collaborative timeline was shaped by a diverse range of genres and acoustic experimentations. This archival history includes performing as a violinist with the world-fusion group Jivanta on their East Meets West project, as well as tracking bass for early, raw country-western sessions.

Heavy Metal Roots & Collaborative Dynamics

Following a long hiatus from active recording after my early releases—such as Traffic Jam, Music for Earth Orbit, and Orpheus—my return to music eventually shifted into a multi-year period of playing and writing new songs of a more complex style with musicians in remote locations collaborating online.

Before developing my signature ambient style, my formative musical background was rooted in playing heavy metal and hard rock bass within an active band context. This history forged an aggressive, more complex, and heavily bass-oriented band music style.

These recent remote online collaborations showcased a sophisticated, well-developed style that is completely different from my spacious ambient work. While the collaborative compositions themselves step away from heavy metal, they are deeply bass-oriented, directly reflecting my earlier, intricate band-style playing and bringing my aggressive bass guitar roots into modern, collaborative tracking frameworks.
